Step 1: Activate your new phone
Download the app.

Back up your personal data.
From your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup
Tap Back Up Now to start the backup process.
Step 2: Factory reset your trade-in phone
Turn off Find My iPhone.
From your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Find My
Tap Find My [phone], then turn off Find My [phone]
Factory reset your phone.
From your iPhone, open Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone
Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
Enter your passcode if prompted.
Tap Erase iPhone to confirm.
Step 3: Ship your trade-in phone
Prepare for shipment.
Safely pack your trade-in phone inside a suitable box and use the shipping label that we provide you.
Utilize the shipping label and tracking number we provide you to ship your trade-in phone through UPS. You can use this UPS store locator to find the nearest location near you.
Please note, we must receive your trade-in shipment within 30 days for you to receive your offer. Trade-ins are typically evaluated in 3-5 business days after being received. You will receive a trade-in confirmation after this process is complete. Completion of the steps listed above is necessary to qualify for a trade-in credit.

Back up your personal data and remove your memory card, if you have one.
Open the Google One app on your phone.
Tap on Storage at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll down to the Device backup section.
If this is your first phone backup, tap Set up data backup.
If this isn't your first phone backup, tap View Details (skip to step 4).
To see your backup settings, tap Manage backup.
To back up the data on your phone, turn on Device data
To back up your media in the best quality, turn on Full resolution photos & videos.
To back up your MMS texts, turn on Multimedia messages.
Tap Backup now.
Please note: your Google One backup may take up to 24 hours to complete.
Step 2: Factory reset your trade-in phone
Open the Settings → System → Reset Options.
Tap on Erase all data (factory reset).
Enter your phone's security PIN, pattern or password.
Confirm that you want to erase all data by tapping on Erase all data again.
Step 3: Ship your trade-in phone
